We are all so familiar with Indian Hawthorns ! A native of India and southern China, they are a mainstay of our warm-climate landscapes and are planted everywhere ! The ' Clara ' and ' Snow ' Hawthorns are white flowered versions of this tough, workhorse of a shrub, but Creekside now proudly offers up an exciting alternative to the ever-present whites in this beautiful ' Snow Pink ' Hawthorn.
Selected from a crop of Snow White seedlings raised in Alabama, the ' Snow Pink ' has all the characteristics that made the whites so popular. They are low, mounding profuse bloomers with a longer flowering period than their white cousins, flowering from late winter through spring. The biggest selling point ?? The ' Snow Pinks ' have proven to be highly resistant to the leaf spot issue that has historically plagued pink Hawthorns in the past, enabling us to finally have a pink that we can trust to ba a true performer in our southern gardens.
